I don't seem to be getting much help with my deer drive backup problem so i will try this,

if i can't patch my copy of deer drive with wii backup patcher then can i just burn the iso image to a disc and load it using the gamma backup launcher? if so where can i get this and does it need its own ios file?

Yep, thats how wiigator gamma works. No patching required. And follow the guide for directions http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/735325

Thanks for the reply penguin, just one more concern,
i already have the homebrew channel and apps on the wii, so do i just need to put the backup launcher and ios onto the sd card?
