Hello everyone
I am new to these things so you will have to bare with me. What is a psp emulator, what does it do and is it hard to install? Is it something a rookie like me should try doing, or will I loose all of my stuff on my PSP, I dont want to brick it or mess it up where I wont be able to use it at all. Just a couple of questions I had. Thanks

A PSP emulator is a program that would emulate PSP games on your PSP. If you're referring to emulators FOR the PSP there are many different kinds. They'll emulate various consoles and handhelds (SNES, Genesis, GBA, N64, etc.) on your PSP. There's vary little chance they'll brick your PSP. There are plenty of guides on this site. Once you know what you want to emulate just do a search and you'll find it. They're easy to install, even someone as noobish as yourself could do it-and we all have to start somewhere, no better place than these.

A psp emulator is a software that can be used on your computer to play psp games. Emulators for psp are what NserUame talked about.

as for other emulators for the psp that you can install with ease you could check http://ifile.it/_6kfbr37
though you will need high speed and a 4gb memory stick if you want the whole emulator pack.

I have the psp slim with the upgraded version 5.02. Is there any way I can put emulators on my psp or do I have to downgrade my software? If I can how do I do it, and what folders do I have to create.

you have to mod it and install custom firmware with a pandora battery and magic memory stick, as long as your psp slim didn't come with 4.01 or later chances are it can be modded.

Ok I have a question, ShaggyZE I see the link for the emulators. However, Can I just download certain ones? Or do I have to download the whole pack? Dont have any use for a couple of them, and where would I go to download individual emulators? I have a 16GB Memory stick coming and want to get a bunch of emulators and game on my computer before hand so I can just transfer them all to the psp when it gets here thanks.

unfortunately you have to download all of them because i made it with like 9 emulators and all the fullset roms so there is about 7,000 games or so if you want to get the emulators seperate you would have to try places like www.pspupdates.com and search for them but it would still be a hassle to find all the roms unless you use bit torrent and find some goodsets so it may be easier to just download my pack and just not xfer the emu/roms you don't want through you have plenty of space for them

cut and paste the /PSP/ folder to the root of the memory stick and overwrite any files/folders.
