ok so i have a few backups that i borrowed from a friend and i want to copy it to make my own. theyre burned on different brands of dvds and for some reason my computer cant read the ones burned on memorex dvds. any suggestions on how to fix this?

you have to dump the image using NERO and then burn the image to a dvd..

it reads the dvds as blanks

I use ImgBurn to make copies of my copies. It will let you rip an iso image (of a copy, not an original) and then burn a disk from the iso image. I don't have a link handy, but google imgburn if you don't already have it. It's free! and works great.
