is there a difference between ixtreme 1.4 and xtreme? (apart from the I LOL) is one stealthed and one not? Mine is ixtreme 1.4 8x so if mine steathed as it only boots up games when then are fully stealthed.

Extreme will boot games as Long as they have the ss file, while iextreme needs all of the stealth files to be present to boot the game.

What interests me is the 0800 unlock for all drives. As is stands right now, 0800 lets the Samsung and Benq be used for ripping games.

So to clear things up. Ixtreme 1.4 which I have in my samsung drive will NOT boot up the new 3rd wave games (hawx and MLB09)

Anyone thought of this also....we will need a new version of ABGX to check stealth on 3rd wave discs...o_0 so even if the 1.6 comes tomorrow we wont be able to tell if our games are stealthed nor will we be able to do a autofix to them. maybe we can manually inject the files i dunno. all i know is that the current version of abgx wasnt even supposed to be released when it was, as it was leaked by someone and the author has stated no new releases will come untill it is complete and finalized. so we may be in for a long few weeks or so... i hope it isnt longer than that

Well if you would have read the thread then you would have seen the irc chat log that showed c4eva stating 1.6 will be done as soon as 1.5 for hitachisvus completed.

What do you mean "to clear things up"? This entire thread is about the fact that iX 1.6 is needed because of that problem. So if you didn't get that then yes, your iX 1.4 will not work.

Would a new version be needed? If ABGX just reads the data and compares it to what available in it's database, wouldn't we just need the database to have the correct files?

So then there is really no point for 1.5 for Hitachi drives because it can't play the new games right. Because i been waiting for 1.5 and no seems like it will be useless then I will have to wait for ever again for the right one to come out

maybe so im not sure, but i was thinking the software would need to be updated to scan for wave 3. I asked this on another forum where someone posted all this same info and seemed very knowledgeable about the current situation and he said that a new version of ABGX would be needed and it is being worked on right now also but the lead time maybe +- a week from the date of 1.6 release. He was also the person that told me the current release was leaked by someone close to the author of ABGX but that person has since passed(the leaker)

No.
The 0800 unlocks the drive and lets it be detectable in Windows. So once it's detected, the drive can then be used to rip games to your pc for creating backups.

Hmm very interesting i had not thought of that. I am using wxripper for creating my backups at the moment. Does anyone know if backup software was updated when the last video part was changed?

RE5 is not part of this, it does not contain wave 3 video partitions so it is good to go. you may want to wait for stealth verification as always tho if you are on live.

ohh ok well cuz i seen on a DL is said 1.5 . ok well thanx for the info and yes i do get on live but not with the games b4 the release date cuz i don't wanna get banned. how do u add ur lil gamercard as a sig or do i have to wait.

I just read on 360mods that the new firmware will be 1.51 and will fix the wave 3 issue, the 1.6 will add the 0800 issue to the hitachi drives and allow us to rip games to our pc. Alot of people were saying that it didnt make sense to work on 1.5 then 1.6, well this way it does.

so if thats true then an update to 1.51 is what we need for wave 3 titles. But if 1.6 just addes the 0800 support maybe it wont be required unless you want to use that feature? i would hate to update to 1.51 and then have to update again to 1.6... :/ but will do what is needed
