If you REALLY THINK about it, the 1.51/1.6 iXtreme Firmware is supposed to address the issue with newer games with the 3rd Wave video partition (e.g. HAWX, MLB 2K9)
Now, with what I have written, what should your answer be to that person's question?

As of now, 1.51 does not have a release time. Don't ask, or spread rumors until you can back it up with info from the right places.
Please listen to senior members, they have experience with this, as we have been doing this for quite some time.
Please also read questions that have been answered MULTIPLE TIMES in this thead. If you ask a question which has already been answered, you deserve the flaming. Do your own research. Then if you have an educated question, one that has not already been asked, we will do our best. But besides the info that is released, EVERYTHING IS SPECULATION. No one knows for sure. With that being said, I would take the opinion of senior members on certian subjects as fairly reliable, since they have the experience.
I'll be the guy that you're going to hate if you don't spend the time reading doing your own research first. I have no problem with that. I'll also be more than happy to help those that have tried. As with all members of this site. If it's obvious effort has been put into your question, then we are more than happy to help. What makes this forum great is the knowledgable members that are more than happy to help others when they ask great questions. What makes this forum terrible, is the stupid questions that have been answered, or that can be answered with a facepalm.

Erm... WHAT???? have you listened to anything, these guys or Microsoft for that matter has ever said? To rip ur games to hard drive you STILL need the disc, for verification purposes, as someone else said search bar is a magical thing.

I'm bored of reading people ask consecutive question about the same thing that was posted a whole 2 posts ago, i only signed up yesterday to answer someones quetion, and it seems that it's been asked repetitively, why dont people read before posting? ignorant if you ask me, like they dont care about what other people want to know EVEN THOUGH THE ANSWER TO THEIR QUESTION WIL BE THERE, and only care about

Last line of the march 3rd qoute in the very first post states hitachi is in the works, hopefully by the end of the week. Not sure if that means that's when it will be done or if that's when the fw will be released to all of us, but deffinitly something to keep an eye out for.

Alright fellas, this is gonna sound like a very newbish question, and as much as I hate to say so, it really is. I've been looking at all this Firmware info for a couple weeks now, and in all honesty, a lot of it looks like another language. I'm used to the dinosaur ages of modding when 28-wire modchips were put into PS1's ^^ so please forgive me. I fianlly decided that the 360 Modification Disc w/ 1.5 fw would be my best bet, now I've read this whole thread and I'm not sure if that is the best route for me now lol. I don't play on Live AT ALL, I only play games for myself. So please please, someone tell me what I should do! Will the Mod disc work fine or should I wait till they bring out this 1.6 and then do all the research yet again? Thanks in advance guys, and go easy on the flaming =P

u should wait for 1.51 or 1.6 cause they will enable you to play all the new releases comming out starting now. these new releases have differences in the disc video part(which is explained at beginning of this thread) and they will not play on the current FW unless you use an older version. So if you want to play new releases like hawx or MLB you will need the newer fw when it comes out.

You said you don't care about Live. Just flash it with an unstealth fw and play every game. Nothing else to ever worry about.
