No! 1.51 is to add "3rd wave support" for newer games while 1.6 adds the ability to rip games from the 360 dvd drive along with play the newer games. I hope this helps!

so basically 1.6 just adds the ability to rip a game tto the hard drive and play it off that? Will you still need to have the game on the dvd player to play it even if it is on the hdd? Also when will 1.51 and 1.6 be out?

what drive would you rather have and that is better. The first gen benq or a brand new lite-on drive?

not to your consoles HD, to your PCs hard drive so you can burn it.

i would stick with either a benq or a sammy as that is what has had the 0800 support since the beginning. or just buy the kreon flashed samsung pc drive, but you can probably get a older sammy/benq from ebay cheaper and use it for ripping games.

No! Rip the game to your PC hard drive. This would eliminate the need for a Kreon drive to read 360 games. Thanks!

If the benq is better ill put that on the jasper xbox i have and get rid of the 360 one.

the lite-on is better to flash and play burnt games from, quieter and smoother running, the benq is better to read games and dump them to your PC.

Yeah i read that on a private torrent site forum that the 1.51 were tested on the samsung and benq and it works good.
i posted the chat log in this thread

Yea I remember seeing this post but no offense to you or any other newbie or low level member I usually take statements with a grain of salt as they are hardely ever backed up actual information or links to prove the claims. Hopefully it is released soon though.

my reply was to the fella who was able to modify one of these new WAVE 3 ISO games by replacing old WAVE 2 files back into the ISO.
Great instructions, I was able to get MLB 2K9 to now work on my Ixtreme 1.5 FW machine!!

I suspect you'll get banned pretty soon if you go on LIVE with a modded ISO... yep the reaction is probably the Banhammer coming down on you...

haha Ya I would NOT go with an altered ISO. If you want to play the game that bad RENT it until 1.51 comes out. Originals will work fine with 1.5

You'll have to let us know if you get banned whenever you do connect to live, with 1.51, with the regular 3rd wave backup version of the game. I will be interested to read if the 360 stores that you used the modified iso (even though you weren't on live) and MS detects it.

If your drive has stock firmware on it, you will need a Lite-ON key reader. If you drive is flashed with ix1.5, you can read the key etc via SATA.
