i have ssx blur and cant get it to get to the menu of the game when burnt on two different kinds of media. then i read somewhere that the game would need to be patched in order for it not to freeze at the menu, but i dont really understand a patch. i havent had to do one so far so i dont know how, its the same region as my system(ntsc) so i dont know what kind of patch i need. any help thanks

Hello,
Well there are several "patches" out there for example:
To stop the disc from updating your console from a different region
To fix the 001 and 002 erros
etc. etc.
it all depends on what problems you are having.
In my opinion if you are experiencing freezing with no error screen, but instead a black screen (more detailed description of your error would be great) it is not a patch you need but a certain IOS to play the game. You can go here to learn how to extract the IOS file which is in .wad format from the .ISO file itself. I believe these files cannot be posted because they are copyrighted code from NINt. If this doesnt work trying burning at maybe 4x speed. PM if you need further help.

All he really needs to do is install cios rev 8. Those are fixed and use the newest version of wii gator. I have never patched a game ever.
