Here is the deal... I have searched all over the internet, every forum, every everything, and I simply cannot find the answer to this problem. Ive seen other people mention it but it seems to get brushed under the rug and... well... I am at my wits end here!

I am on a PSP Slim (2000) with CFW 5.00 M33-6 (I had M33-3 until about 30 minutes ago.. trying to fix this issue). Just incase it matters... I have the CPU clocked at 333 and the MS speed hack set to ALWAYS.

Here is the deal; any time I play a PSX game and use a firmware other than "Original from flash".. when I put the game into sleep mode, the game will NOT come back on. It goes to a blank black screen... stays on for about 10 seconds, then powers off. Powering the PSP back on will result in the system starting back up and loading up to the home screen (XMB or whatever its called... sorry cant think of the name).

As stated.. Ive seen several people mention it on various sites but the question never gets acknowledged or the person is told "its a bad eboot". I rip all my PSX games myself and create the EBOOTS myself... using either PSX2PSP (1.4.2) or Popstation_MD. ALL PSX games, no matter how I rip them, encode them.. what firmware (sans original).. sleep mode does not work.

So.... is this just a known bug? Id be happy if I could just find confirmation on it. If this is answered somewhere else in the forums, I am sorry.. I looked and could not find a thing.

ANY help appreciated. Thanks!

yea i've seen the problem to an never responded to it because i've never ran into it let alone found a way to prevent it or fix it if i did, and some homebrew i use will restart back to xmb (or vsh) when they awake from sleep mode as well. but i can tell you its not the eboot its probably just a known problem, i guess i'll try a couple psx games on my fat and slim and see, though it could be possible it has something do with the plugins your using and even popsloader, i've just never put a psx game in sleep mode because i either play it or i save and quit.

Thanks... I appreciate it.
When I am at home its not an issue... its an issue when I am commuting to work and I am in a spot where I cant save and I just want to put the game on sleep mode and put it away to get off the train and head to the bus stop (as I am paranoid that I am gonna trip and drop the darn thing and break it walking up the stairs).

The only plug in I have is popsloader... when I upgraded from the 3.80 V2 popsloader I completely uninstalled it and reinstalled it so I wouldnt mess anything up... but maybe I did. Thing is the games themselves run fine and all my popsloader decrypts seem to be fine. :/ And the 3.80 popsloader had this same exact issue.. hence why V2 came out... but I have not seen a V2 for 5.00 to fix this issue... hence why I am wondering if its something I have done and can easily fix (as the V2 patch came out like the next day).

Shameless bump... but with update.

I installed a new popsloader firmware (3.40, never needed it before) to use with Breath of Fire IV. Sleep mode works with THIS firmware. But wont work with 3.71, 3.80, 4.01.

Before I start re-decrypting all my firmwares for poploader... does anyone think its a firmware issues that could be causing sleep mode not to work? The games load up though.

Any more help would be appreciated.
