Got the homebrew on the wii today, Here is our question:
Downgraded to 3.2 as instructed.
When we turn wii on, go to homebrew, click on start, it loaded off the sd card and the wad manager, ios downgrader ect all came up.
CLick and go back home all that is there is mii, photochannel, shopping channel of wii, weather, news and homebrew and disc loader. Should there be more in there?
Then if we click on wii,to data management to wii channels,on the wii memory all that is there is homebrew. Should there be more in there? That was copied into there.
On the SD card slot there is just twilight hack that comes up.

Should there be anything more in these channel slots, app slots, wad slots? Or is this what should only be appearing?

Any help would be apprciated.

If all you've installed is the Homebrew channel, that is the only channel that should be there. Nothing else will be there unless you install it. Obviously you have the back-up loader channel and homebrew channel, you can install the wad manager channel but that's optional. To play back-ups all you need is the back-up loader channel which you already have. And to boot homebrew (emulators and such), you need the homebrew channel which you have. The wii should look just like it did prior to you installing the homebrew, except now you have 2 added channels to your system menu.

OK Atleast I know we are now getting somewhere. You said in the last line that now we should have two added cahnnels? All we have is the one, homebrew channel. What should be the other one?

So now all we have to do is load back ups if we want right? And do we have to have the SD card in to do that?or is there a forum here I can read on how to do that?

Thanks Annemeri

Some people add a backup loader channel to the main menu, you can find wads for it online. Its an optional step though as it works exactly the same booting it from the backup loader in the homebrew channel.

so the Wad Manager shouldn't show up in the channel list? The only way we see it now is off the sd card.

Sorry for these questions, we have read and read and have found no place that has questions like this.Until we make a back up copy I assume we can not try this out to see if it really works. We were expecting to have other channels appearing. But you are saying that we are viewing what should only be there.

The only things that show up on the channels list are the homebrew channel and things that you've installed with wads. Not all wads are channels, IOS and cIOS patches of course don't show up. But If you want a channel to appear on the main wii menu then you need a wad of it.

Any apps/tools in you SD(using HBC) will not show up in the Wii channel (unless it is WAD). Just like what you have mentioned "WAD Manager". the WAD Manager is a tool to install WAD application or channel. The WAD manager can also be a channel which will show up in the Wii channel depending which version you have.

For you to play your backup games, you have to used "backup loader" and the correct Cios. Based on your post you only downgraded you Wii to 3.2.
