Hello i have posted alot of threads a year ago but no one answered me my answer...what i want to ask is i have a wii running 3.4U and i have installed multiple wads like defend your castle and Tv show king.I uninstalled them to install ocarina of time but i got an error ret-1022. soo i said ok ill install the other games tht i have uninstalled agian. when i tried agian it gave me the same error ret-1022. i was shocked because i installed these games before same way same file this error came. sometimes by luck i would get it installed but always gets an error like a black screen when i start the channel or, this channel cant be used. so please find me a way past this error i will give you all the info you will need. I also tried it using the homebrew channel but same error.

Wii version:3.4U(Not modified as i like playing online)
Sd Card: 2 sd cards 1. kingston 128 mb 2. san disk 1 gb
Wii memory:Enough for multiple wads

P.S:ive downloaded different wads from diffeent sites and different wad managers and wad installer and still same error.

I get the error while installing the wad

alot of people said its from the sd card..but i have 2 and maybe there both damaged.

please afterdawn help me i need to install all the wads i can

Thank You

It's not the SD card, its firmware 3.4.

Firmware 3.4 blocks the wad installer and a couple other homebrew programs. You need to install IOS16 to restore them. Follow the first 3 steps of the downgrader guide here http://gbatemp.net/index.php?s=572be6275...howtopic=112945

You dont have to actually downgrade and I dont recommend downgrading, just follow the first 3 steps of the guide.

penguin98 is correct. Your getting it because of the 3.4 firmware. Follow his advice and you should be good to go.
