Hi all , Ive had my ps3 for some time now maybe 3-4 years . My wireless has never played up untill recently , i was streaming afilm via the ps3 media server wich i think is great btw! . Then sundelny i get some error ... i think it was a dnla eroor or something , Ive seen it before but i think i just restarted the media server and it fixed it .
This time i cant even connect to my wireless router anymore , I put in all the details for my connection and when i test connection i get this error while obtaining ip address (The First test )
The Key exchange information timed out.
I've tried a few fixes like allowing it in my routers page (altho i didnt have this set before and it worked flawlessly) Im pretty much out of ideas and its no fun havin to transfer media to the ps3 via usb drive
Is your computer on a wireless network? Perhaps you could try resetting your router (or unplug/replug the power). See if the DNS server part on your PS3 is filled in, if not you could try filling it in manually it's usually a number like 192.168.0.1
Also if there's any security on the Network try going for the 64bit WPA, or disabling it; some Network cards aren't compatible with anything higher.
hi , thanks for the replys
My laptop is wireless yes . The ps3 will connect to the internet via a wired connection , but even with the laptop connected to the router wireless and the ps3 connected to the router wired i still cant get a media server to work
Ive tried tversity and ps3 media server .... The ps3 seems to find the tversity server but as soon as i try to look in the folders to play anything on the ps3 i get the same dlna error
Thats more than i can say about ps3 media server , it doesnt see it at all altho it worked great before . Im lost here
