Hi just a quick question, when upgrading my drive to 1.51 do I just combine my orig files with the new 1.51 FW and write to drive? no need to read from the drive again with the probe?

Cheers br3m

if you open jungle flasher, click on user guide in the lower right corner, that will answer all your flashing questions, but you do not need the probe again, you will need to put your drive tray in the half open status to flash though.

You should load the dummy.bin file only not the key.bin/Inquiry.bin/Identify.bin files.

The dummy.bin has extra drive info data so if you manually load key.bin/Inquiry.bin/Identify.bin then you can lose that extra drive data and possibly make you more vulnerable to a live ban.

So load the dummy.bin file. If you didn't save the dummy.bin then extract the information again from the drive. If you use the new Jungle Flasher and already have 1.5 iXtreme flashed to the drive you can extract all information through the s-ata port without using the probe.

yes that is the case the new JungleFlasher 0.1.51 will let you know if there is a problem and they also offer an option to FIX the problem... but this will of course require you to get the information physically off the stickers on the drive and enter it into the program...

by the way that function is a bit confusing to get to ... when running the program click the Drive Serial tab for the SOURCE... you will see a bunch of HEX information ... just double click anywhere on the little white hex window and it will open the utility to correct the information...

really i think they coulda made that a bit easier i.e. just have a button there but whatever... hopefully it works and that's all that matters
