If I have not yet updated to 1.51. or the future 1.60... And if I am going to back up older games (pre 3rd wave), I would think i could still use the older version of abgx 360 and not the new 1.0 version.

Or should i Start using the new ABGX version regardless??? I know I will need to start using it when I update the firmware, but not sure If I should before doing so.

thanks a lot

I don't think it matters if you're not checking Wave3 but why is it so difficult to just install the new one? Takes 2 seconds.

It is not difficult, just curious.. I just wanted to upgrade everything at once. No big deal.

thanks

As long as you have the correct database in the .ini file then I think the version you are using will work until you try a Wave3 game.

If you downloaded the new ABGX then it should have the new database.

oh okay.. howcome when i try to verify the game major league baseball 2k9 it's giving me this error message in yellow color..

it says looking for 275A07D32323.ini in the online verified database
there is no verified rip of this xes/ss combination in the online database
failed to find a verified ini file for this xex/ss combination
verfication failed

what does this mean? is it because they hanvet added the major league baseball 2k9 game to their databass yet and that i have to wait?

That game's in the database. After checking the ISO (which updates the database file if a new version is available), if you go to the abgx360 installation folder and open the file called GameNameLookup.csv with Notepad, you can see what games are in the database. Newer games are added at the top.

In the program options, set Autofix to level 3. Also, make sure "Look for verified files in the local folder only" is NOT ticked. Then try checking the ISO again.

yes i checked, the name is in the databass. i also set the autofix to level 3 and uncheck the box that says look for verified files in the local folder, it's still giving me this error. is it because i have a bad copy of the ISO?

I'm getting the same errors with MLB 2K9 from abgx as well. Maybe we have bad ISO's?

I did that. I just read elsewhere that MLB 2K9(non-fixed for 1.5) doesn't pass abgx check so maybe we don't have a bad ISO. It's supposed to added to the database the right way even though it's listed from the GameNameLookup file. I'm not sure about this but I know my ISO doesn't pass the check. Thanks!

I keep getting the following error messages when I run abgx360 v 1.0:

ERROR: Failed writing body
There seems to be a problem with the db so online functions have been disabled
Try again later...

Starting AutoFix
Failed to find a verified ini file for this Xex... you need to enable online functions (assuming your connnection works and the db is up) if you want to check for a verified ini in the online database AutoFix Failed, Stealth is still unverified

Anyone else experience this? Unless the database has been down for three days I doubt it's the database. In my abgx360 gui the disable online functions box is not checked, I have AutoFix set to Level 3, and I have the most recent abgx360.ini file in my library folder. And yes, my connection does work.

I've googled and searched the forums but still can't find out the problem, unless of course the database is truly down. Any ideas? Thx!

Yeah, I deleted the old version before I installed version 1.0.

Could I be missing some files in my library? I have the following:

abgx360.ini (Updated file)
abgx360gui.list
abgx360gui.Preferences
StealthFiles (Folder which includes the Video_0E58FB9D.iso)
abgx360.dat

I'll try deleting and reinstalling again. I run OS X, should I delete all the abgx360 folders as well when I do this? In other words, will all the proper library folders be included with the new version?

Thanks!

well abgx should come with the correct ini file so if you are replacing manually you shouldnt be. there is no need to place extra files anywhere just install the app and that is it. I have seen people mention that video file before but i have no idea where they are getting it from cause there is no mention of it on the abgx site where it is downloaded from www.abgx360.net

Hmmmm.... so I deleted abgx360 and all its corresponding files and folders and installed again. I am still getting the ERROR: Failed writing body
There seems to be a problem with the db so online functions have been disabled
Try again later...

And since I can't access the online database I am not getting the propoer ini files or anything.

Thanks!
