Surreal64 problem, black screen

I need some help please!
whenever I load a rom in any of the emulator options in surreal64 (1964 ultraxle etc.) the screen just turns black. If anyone could help me out i'd appreciate it.

It probably doesn't run that rom. N64 emulation on xbox is anything but perfect.
