I first encountered this problem while playing Pro Evolution Soccer (2009 if I'm not wrong).. Sometimes (but not all the time) my psp will just shut off by itself while it is loading to the next screen, and once I turn it back on it automatically starts the UMD game which is Metal Gear Solid. I chose to ignore it at first as it doesn't happen all the time and it only happens to PES, my psp works perfectly fine playing other cso or iso games.

But now I just got MLB 09 The Show and it won't even start the game. After I've chosen the game under my memory card, it'll load as if it's going to start the game but then it shuts off immediately. And it happens everytime. I've also checked that I can still play other games perfectly fine.

Is this as case of corrupted file? Or is it my psp that can't support the newer games? If so how do fix it so that I can play these games?

I'm using 3.90 M33-3

thanks

if you have wifi then you can make sure that in the recvovery menu under configuration your m33 network update is enabled (hold R shoulder button while resetting) and then you can update with the network update in the xmb menu and if you have a pandora battery you could use psp grader v008 to make a newer magic memory stick link is in my signature then you would just mod the psp like you originally did with pandora battery L shoulder button when putting in the battery and magic memory stick already inserted.

the manual way is by getting the official firmware and making sure its named 500.pbp and the custom firmware for 5.00 m33-6 named eboot.pbp and placing both in root:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ of your memorystick links for both are also in my signature and running it like any homebrew or iso in the game menu.
