ive attempted to upgrade from 1.5 to 1.51 on two different drives.1st one was a liteon drive.everything went fine until write.gave me invalid status.2nd one is a tosh/sam ms28 spoofed as benq.im getting e65 error on that.any help would be appreciated as im ready to shoot myself

assuming you have the key and such i would try to flash again. or restore first i think either would work to get it working again.

You can still flash the sammy without extractor. Probably lite on too if you have key of course you shouldnt need probe with ck kit.

So if the extractor malfunctioned then maybe you did everything correct still, so not your fault dont feel bad.

someone mentioned using a bootable usb.how would i do this.the only way i know is through iprep but it doesnt support the latest 1.51 does it?. if i cant sort it i know a company that will do it for me for £15 inc return postage.then all i need to do is sort the spoofed sammy.when i try and sort it pc freezes.think ill just buy a new drive and pop key on it and start afresh.

iprep uses 1.51 all you need to do is load in xml file for 1.51 into iprep
you can use many tuts after that just follow instructions normally. I have had most succes with iprep 006

make sure you have latest .net framework first and also some botherboards will not boot a usb stick in size of 1gb. just mentioning incase cause i went thru a headache my first attempts.

where will i get the xmldef 1.51 file from? is it on xbins?

If you have the key already then you shouldnt need the probe. I havent worked with lite on before but from what i am reading it sounds possible. the xml file will work for all firmwares not just the benq i dont know why it is in that directory. it just makes iprep recognize the new firmware version. if you try to load the firmware without updating that file iprep will say it isnt recognized.

you may have to prepare hacked fw first with the keys you already have if the hacked fw used before was indeed corrupt.

Just prepare the drive first and place already hacked firmware in the proper directory that iprep uses on the prepared drive in that case.

ah sorry, I have not flashed a lite on before so im not sure. Im sure someone else knows which it is. I have only flashed samsungs and benq drives

erase your liteon. use dosflash, dosflash 32, jungleflasher, anything. just keep trying. it will erase and when it erases your fine. try jungleflasher first as thats the easiest i have found. hit liteon erase click yes twice and unplug your drive really fast then plug it back up and it should erase and allow you to write it. liteons dont brick unless you fry them, they can be erased over and over again where samsungs cant. im not sure what happens to a samsung when its erased and you dont have a firmware on it. never had one fail on me.

any help please as im still getting the same status.ive turned the drive on and off again really fast and still no joy.i must have done this 20 times already.im trying to use iprep also but that will not load up my cfw just 151 and thats it

keep trying. it will erase eventually. your liteon isnt broken, you just have to keep doing it. try other programs. there are a lot of programs that will do it, try iprep if you have to. something will erase it and then you can write to it.

ive tried jungle flasher and iprep.its erased but wont write.i cant get Drive is now in Vendor mode (0x72).it just says failed every time.

Make a boot disk.
Put Dosflash 1.7 and l-o-eras.exe on it
And custom FW

Boot the boot disk
Type Dosflash
follow the prompts.

If it's not erased already use l-o-eras.exe first
usage is l-o-eras D800 (D800 is my port number)

Keep running the l-o-eras port until you get a status of FF72.
Then run dosflash

when u use iprep to make a bootable device go into that device in windows and open goto backups folder it should be empty create new folder and name 1234567 then open that folder and create another new folder and name it 12345 open that and put ur hacked firmware in there name the f/w litcfw.bin this is for version v008.8 iprep if u dont have it go to klutsh web site and dl it boot to dos hit the cmd flit 1234567 12345 ent follow on screen instructions unplug all dev to make it easy apart from the 360 drive of course

hope this helps

ps it will erase the drive for u and then flash all banks
