Okay so I was hoping the community could shed some light on this issue. I purchased a Benq drive to replace my broken Lite-on drive. I got the key from the lite-on drive it was 32 characters long with no 77, ff, or 00's. I have flashed the Benq with the Liteon key as per a guide. Evrything went smoothly and even the outro completed successfully.

When i reasembled my 360 I started getting a black screen and rrod only on the bottom right. When I insert a game it tells me to insert this disc into a 360 system. When I put the drive into another 360 It boots into the dashboard but again all I can play are cd's.

Is the first 360 I tried it in just fried? If the video card was friend wouldn't i not be able to see any 'put into a 360' pages. And if the motherboard was fried I wouldn't be able to power on the 360 right?

So does anyone have an idea of what is wrong?

first of all did u just flash the benq with the right key if so that the problem u need to spoof the drive as a lite on for it to function correctley the black screen is because its not reconising the drive as correct which is also why u can only play cds etc
search the forums for spoofing not sure which would be best appz for that as always use the correct drives no firmware is available hope this helps fez!

It sounds like you didn't spoof the drive as a Lite-on.

Thanks a lot for the replies. I was about to give up :(.

I'm updating this in case anyone needs this info.

What I did was I simply had to make the liteon ixtreme firware with the key and inquiry files in the toolbox. By picking the firmware then the key and choosing the spoof option in the drop down menu I used custom and included the inquiry file. Then I used the newly made firmware in JungleFlasher. When prompted i answered ok. Works Great.
