I mean everyone on my friend lists are playing on it 24/7, getting ALL the trophies and say it's awesome, but then I buy it then end up having to take back the game and making some reason up why it won't work to get a refund because it's so boring. So before people start trying to battle me with the lines "There are plenty of the reasons why it's good" here are the reasons that I found good.
Pro's:
Amazing graphics (But what PS3 game doesn't these games)
Very organised online mode
Mod community
But it is so boring. To put it down to it's pure concept all you do is prance around as some semi-customizable sack jumping over 3 levels of ground to get to the finish. Oh and you slap stickers on stuff. Sure making your own levels and playing other peoples may be fun but surely it gets boring after a while.
i own the game i liked it for the first 2 weks or so, but then yes it got BORING, havent played it in 2 months, but i said F it to the story levels after beign oso complicated and last i palyed was a whoel bunch of community levels, for a guys game its not that great, but as i noticed girls seem to like it ALOT, so it maybe be the girls that give it so much popularity.
Yeah I looked up the trailers etc of LBP before the release, it was so hyped i'm so many people did because of that. And yeah all I saw were the devs saying "you can do this and this" make your own levels, share and play other ppls custom levels, but then that was it, there didnt seem to any plot or goal to the game, you just make a level then play it.
Sure I can see some satisfaction of creating your own level and trying to get through it, but on the whole the game is pretty much useless.
I havent played the game and dont have any intention of buying it unless its in teh bargain bin for a fiver :P
ya I got a collection of games (not) and LBP is like on the bottom of the pile... I just didnt find the enjoyment in it that people claimed it had, and thats from my manly friends (maybe not too manly)... but I have yet to play it with a friend so cant comment it completely until i truely play everything it has to offer...
In other news, MGS4 > Valkyria Chronicles > LBP (thats my entire collection)
