If this goes t!*s up, lets all agree to cancel analogue sub to N** and arse over to s*y in a mass exodus.. That should finally put this amateur lazy, rude and cheap company where it belongs on the sh*t heap. If it's true that 700,000 people were utilising these boxes, what a message to send them. S*y must be rubbing there hands together (probably financed the latest encryption..lol)... Nice and smug that I rode the wave for as long as possible..:)
how soon is now?

you are not on analogue mate you are already on digital
if you where not on digital the boxes would not work as they do not work on analogue sorry to say
they wont get to many customers to leave them as they now have the broadband and the phone in on their packages and they know this
if sly had the same stuff possible you will get people to change other wise i would say not people will pay the subs in the end
well that's my take on it anyway even if it is the basic package

Got my first one about two years ago and never upgraded to digital just still on basic analogue subs. I just sumised they pump everything to your place and it then depends on what equipment you had to decode/unscramble that they provided you with. Am I way off the mark Fergus??

all area's where upgraded so that they could charge you for the digital system even though the say you are on analogue
They charge you for the box that is the extra 5.00euro a month for the basic package that way you are paying for the box for the rest of your time with that package
they tell you they give you the box free they don't really they let you believe this that's how all these boxes work if they had have left the analogue them boxes would have never worked
some areas mostly rural areas are still on analogue and they cannot take advantage of the boxes that's why they either put up the MMDS aerials but that is also depending on the line of site as well

It'll be awhile before a fix shows up this time, I spent last night googleing about N3 & there has been some success (wink, wink)where it's
used in the satellite area so fingers crossed, in the mean time it's time for the card sharing route I think,..1000's channels to be watched.

yes mate i would very much say if it does work 100% here yes but it will prob be a long while yet for the uk
it normally comes the other way starts in the Uk and then comes to Ireland this time they are doing it the other way around
maybe we are on a smaller scale so best to test the waters here first thats my thinking

They know what their doing all right dont worry about that there not stupid why do you think they pay these people lots of money
as for them been all upc they might be but they are still 2 stand alone providers using 2 different symbol rates
they are only of course under the same umbrella thats all

they will all start to drop off one by one now thats the idea not to cause much problems on there own boxes as if they drop them all out together their own box wont cope

it will be a while i would say for a fix if any or new boxes
as nothing will be done till they have finished their change over i would say
but then again maybe they wont be able just have to wait and see this is not like the other ones where they where just key methods this is a whole new encryption
so even manual entry will not be possible either
