Well i'm about to flash my xbox but i have no blank cd-r to set the slax image on so I was wondering can i use a blank dvd?

You can put it in modeB without slax with JungleFlasher

really that would makes things a lot easier. Sorry i'm a bit slow but is jungle flasher just a program because its not mentioned in the hacking xbox guide for noobs book.

Yeah, it's a program. And yeah if it's not in there yet, then it just hasn't been updated. Definitely download it, and follow the tut that comes with jungleflasher. It's really easy, you'll be set.

In answer to your initial question, yes you can burn SLAX to a DVD and it will boot (so long as you have a bootable DVD drive) but Jungle Flasher is defo the way forward
