I am trying to flash my benq to the new 1.51 fw and when i try to run dos flash it says cant install portio.sys driver. Can someone help me out. Im running vista

right click.. run as admin. try that. are you using 64bit or 32 bit?

64 bit. I remember trying this last time and nothing would work. I just reinstalled xp on a seperate drive and did it that way

ya jungleflasher is a 32bit application and is unsupported by 64bit. I had same problem but also just installed a 32bit version. Did you get the drive flashed then?

Yep. I used dos flash 1.7 to connect to my benq. Then I used the firmtool in the iexteme 1.4 that I still had. I downloaded the 1.51 firmware and changed the name of it to the name of the 1.4 hacked firmware and put it in that folder. Then clicked the make iextreme firmware batch command and it worked. I will just use this method from now on. I don't understand the jungleflasher. I couldn't get it to work at all. Oh well my method only takes about 2 minutes to flash once I get the drive accessible.

can dosflash 32 work with an hitachi 78 drive since jungle flasher isn't working? If so can someone link me a guide or explain how to work the program. Thanks in advance

I'm not sure. All I do is hook up the xbox drive to the computer, turn the xbox on, the open dos flash and the program automaticly detects my benq drive. You could try yours and see if it works

I just used jungleflasher to do a hitachi 78 3 days ago. Whats the problem?
