In order to trouble shoot your problem I am going to need more info.
1. What game are you trying to play.
2. What exactly is the error, eg. error 002, or does it tell you to eject you disc, power off, and read the manual?
3. System menu?
5. Softmodded or Mod-chipped wii?
6. What program are you using to load the disc on your wii?
hi... i have an error 001 on my wii, after searching on net i found this patching and scrubbing..i have patching my games for long time... and it work out real fine.. 10 more games with patch... and after i scrub the mario power tennis, put on my wii and thats it, all the patched on is unreadable... my wii is japanese so i cant read all, i think the wii updated on mario P.T. and affected the system. i have the chipped wii and using the nero 7 and img burn... one more, so i burn the iso, 1st wii reads disk error 001, 2nd, so i patch, wii reads disk error eject disk and turn off wii... another one, i think the sd card is not working, 2 and 4 GB not reading, coz i want to try the zelda hack and cannot save game to sd. internet also have some problems...
Newer firmwares block trucha-signed disks, which is how patching to remove the 001 error works. You said that this started after an update so thats likely the problem.
You haven't said what kind of chip you're using but theres a good chance its a wiikey, since the 001 error is most common with that chip. Try this guide to update the wiikey. Once it's updated, all the games that previously had error 001 should play.
If that does not work then your next bet is to install the homebrew channel and boot the games through that. That will bypass both the 001 error as well as the trucha-signing block.
And your 4gig SD card will not work, the wii only accepts nonSDHC cards that are 2 gigs or less. Mario power tennis came out in mid January in japan, so you'll need to find out if your wii is on 3.3 or 3.4 and use the appropriate version of the twilight hack. Use 0.1beta1 for 3.3 and 0.1beta2 for 3.4.
