hddhackr not recognizing hard drive

Alright so I boot my computer into dos with a jump drive boot disk loaded with hddhackr and my hddss.bin . The only drive i have hooked up is the BEVS (which my bios registers as connected).I type hddhackr -f which runs it and it looks for the drive in an enhanced then legacy mode, neither which recognize the drive. It next requests for an input 1-4 none do anything.

So I tried editing it with hexedit. My info is as follows:

0x0000B880-0x0000B887
0x0000B800-0x0000B803
0x0000B480-0x0000B487
0x0000B400-0x0000B403
0x0000B080-0x0000B094

So I tried changing it to B8 80 B4 80

Im getting the same results. Any help?

i had a hell of a time with hddhackr myself till i tried on a friends computer and it worked flawlessly. if you have access to another pc, i would go that route.

I was having the exact same problem. In my case I just needed to update the drivers for my sata controller. After that, hddhackr found the drive fine. If that doesn't work, maybe try another version of hddhackr. Or a friends computer like uturn68 suggested. Good luck. Let us know if/how you get it working.

It never even occured to me to try to update the drivers. Give that a shot when i get home from school/work tonight. If not guess a buddies computer will be my next attempt.

So i ended up trying a friends computer. Worked after i edited it with hexedit. Guess my chipset just had some issues with it. Oh well. Works fine now. Thanks guys.
