wiikey install: probelem with the Wii recognize/initiating disc drive

After I installed the wiikey the disc drive would spin up for a few seconds when I turned on the wii and then stop. The system doesn't recognize there was a disk in the drive, nor will it eject it. I did manage to get the wii to recognize the drive a few times and was able to play back up/original games until moving to a new stage/level when the wii couldn't recognize/initiate the drive. All the wires seem to be plugged in securely

You should properly install a soft mod instead. Sometimes if you solider too long the pads come check that its all OK and try soft modding it. Ive got both wiikey and a soft mod (Gamma Backup Launcher).

seen this 100s of times you need to check your solder it sounds bad, it more likley one wire making bad connection or shorting with another, once done properly will run good,,,also it may be faulty drive again this does happen and when happens after modchip been installed harder to see as people dont believe in coincedense buit funnier things happen out at sea, main one i see id when shorting it throws laser of runners and had to fix few of these, small push and a click :) easy money lol
