Hello, was having a problem with two backup Games I burned. They all came out perfecly and everything so far I have 3 perfect games, but two are having problems.
I'm guessing I have a Us System since I purchased it from wal-mart.
o-o;;
moving on, I'm not quite sure what region the games are. But ether way I have Gamma Backuploader the recent one, and I've loaded them both by forcing Ntsc, then starting the game, It freezes on a green screen. So i tried then to force Pal60. and got a rolled down black and white screen while the game played threw., and I think i tried pal50 and got the same thing.
I also tried just using Gamma's hooks. And the same thing with the rolled down black and white screen.
Could it be that these games are broken? when I download a torrent and such, I always look at the comments to see what others have to say about the game, and they say at times that it worked great.
But when I get them, they don't half of the time. Could anyone tell me what I should do? or should I just try to look for a better torrent site? if that be the case can anyone tell me a better torrent site? :]
2 backup games are NOT broken, you have a PAL(europe)games and your console is NTSC, some PAL games you can forceNTSC and it should be fine , some don't (hard coded), for you to remove the rolling black and white check monitor/TV setup if it support PAL.
I suggest play games with your Region(USA/NTSC). Some games comes with the upgrade so you might brick your Wii.
For torrent site? Google is your friends..SEARCH..
The backup launcher blocks all updates from games so region semi-bricking isnt a concern. But its still always better to get games from your wii's home region just to prevent the sort of problems you're having.
Nothing is wrong with your TV. Let me break this down:
US and European TV's display differently. US TV's use NTSC, which is 29.9 frames per second and a specific color pallet. European TV's use PAL, which has a slightly faster refresh rate and a slightly different color pallet.
Trying to display a signal from one format on a TV designed for the other can cause various problems, including from black screens, black and white images, or the picture being off center (too high or too low)
You have a US TV and a US wii, but are trying to play a PAL game on it, so thats why you're having problems. As fiber said, setting the game in the wiigator settings to forceNTSC will fix this problem with some games, but not all. In the future, you should try to only download US games to avoid this issue.
