The ring of light on my xbox 360 is not lighting up. i checked the RF board and that's fine and this wouldn't be a problem if the controllers synced but they don't. i haven't gotten a chance to try a USB controller because i don't have one, because i never needed one. help plz.

Keep in mind opening the box to replace the board voids your warranty. You should only open it if you're outside of warranty and only if you know what you're doing.

The shell is very easy to take off, so if you're struggling, you're doing something wrong. DO NOT PRY IT OFF! You will ruin the case.

Actually replacing that board is quite easy, though.

the OP can just use a hair dryer and a razor blade to take off the warranty sticker and all will be fine. also, i wouldnt bother sending it into MS to get fixed if thats what you were suggesting as they would charge him at least 100 bucks for a 10 buck job, and he would be out of his console for 2 weeks minimum.
