im sorry and don't mean to be rude but you r asking a lot of basic computer questions. Pretty much all tutorals say you need to have basic computer knowledge before attempting to flash ur drive. do you happen to have someone with these skills that u could have look at what u have done so far as well as this post? that way the two of you could get this done.

I just want to thank everyone for helping me flash my Hitachi 59DJ drive.I did it using CMD i tried that way about 20 times and for some reason it decided to work!But thank you!!!

Glad it finally worked out for you. In the future, you can always use a SIL3112a SATA PCI card for all Hitachi drives lower than the 78. It actually works better than the VIA 6421 on those particular drives.
