can anyone tell me how to stop my wii (softmod) lagging on dvd playback ive just done softmod cios7 and i have dvdx and mplayer am i missing somthing..........

No your not missing anything. dvd playback is in very early stages so "lagging" is expected. Some pointers:
1. If burning DVD's use high grade media eg. verba., sony, etc
2. Try burning at low to semi-med speeds eg. 1x-4x
3. Try a different media player there are plenty out there.
