..aargh its a nightmare innit - n bad timing for wrestlemania - damn that kryptview remote is ugly... hope i'm not gonna end up w/ one... urgh.

yeah it is - however all we'll get over there is ring theatrics maybe once a month. but at leasta we 'ev da wrestleman-ya (Santino Marella style)

Not to burst your bubble or anything like that, but weren't the previews always unscrambled ?? So they run the previews as advertising and then scramble the channel when the PPV program starts ??
Hope I am wrong!! Although i have my tickets for the o2 on Apr16 and the Odyssey on the 24th !!

aww sh@# .. well thanks for reminding me - would hate for it to turn 1AM expecting showtime n get nowt - yeah thats the way it goes i remember now. PPV is listed as an affected channel enough times anyhow

Gone, gone, gone!!!! All adult, sky movie and few other channels gone!
N*L dublin. Also if makes a differance i have the new ch*rus n*l box and card and channels have been workin on that til other day
Am i glad i don't really watch telly :) boyf pullin his hair out ;)

all areas of chorus is working nothing to do with the new encryption in dublin
all you have to do is make sure that the firmware you have on your box is fully up to date
then factory reset your box rescan and when its finished turn the EMU back on then let the box update

I tried this several times on a "Red" box using the Nov,08
download and it will not auto update having done factory reset
and rescan,only showed fta, input codes manually tonight
and it worked right away, any comments ???

yes mate my first comment is your firmware is out of date for a start
december was the latest file for all the boxes so i would start by looking there

with the way the new firmware is you need to have no splitters on your cable
also you might have to find a channel and let it up date thats the trick

Hi Fergusrb thanks for that-the cable I have is the
Maplin Nikkai USB to RS232,I have used this before on other
Max V with success.When I download on the "Red" box and look at
system info it "always" shows the "April '08 SW Version" though when I download the software I get the download success message
from what you say the cable I have is no good for this update ??

by splitters on your cable i am talking about on the cable in your house and not from your pc to the box
if it still shows the april one on your box its not the correct one you have on it
i suggest you get a xp pc with a comport on it and do it that way as there is a lot of messing about with comport settings for the usb adapters
also if you have used this cable before it should be ok just make sure you have the correct file downloaded

what sort of Tips are you looking for Dave ?
No N2 fix for dbox yet as far as i am aware if that is what you are after?
