Can I backup a backup.

So I have read that you need a special dvd drive to read information on a original xbox 360 game. I wanted to know if its the same for a backup.

I have some backups and I would love to have them on my computer so if and when the disc don't want to play, I can just make another.

your good to go.

use imgburn to read the image from the backup to your harddrive, then reburn to another dvd.
