most likely your burner doesn't like the media. What brand of disks are these and what type of burner do you have?

Make sure that your Drive isn't being accessed by other programs. Like I had to close my media player once, cause it said it was being used by it, even though it wasn't. Also, try restarting your computer, and see if it fixes anything.

I got a LG Burner and im using Memorex DVD+R DL discs. i just wanted to use these as a trial run before buying verbatim and wasting them lol. And i dont have any other programs running.

Also im using IMGBURN because when i use CloneCD it always tells me i dont have enough space on the disc

I have an LG burner. What model are you using? I tried memorex on my LG and of a 20 pack 7 were coasters. Before that I used a different burner and it wouldn't even write to memorex at all. gave me an error before it even started burning.

For yours you may need to try different disks.
Try updating your burners firmware first.

I Updated the firmware and ended up getting the same error so im waiting on some verbatim discs to come in the post to see if that is the problem or not

Also i dont know if this means anything to you but i tried to just write a couple of mpeg vids to disc and i got the same error

sounds like a problem with the burner. Did u try to write these files to the DL disks. if so it may just still be the disks but if you get this with different disks then it probably your burner going bad.

Yeah itwith the same discs and i actually just tried to burn some file to both a cd r and a dvd r and both worked fine but i dont have any dvd dl discs to try, so it probably was the brand of media, thanks guys
