gettin a blue screen and error 002 when i try to boot it upo any ideas??? im running homebrew latest version and wiigator

See other threads you need to google error 2 fix gamma loader. It works under 3.2 without having to use the CIOS updater.
There is however a lot of gratuitous violence in the game.
I know that sounds Mary Whitehouse but it is quite over the top. It is far worse than House of the Dead Overkill. There is also racist language , such the Ni****r which appears at the beginning.

hi,i'm also facing the error #002 problem with a blue screen.The BIG problem was i'm new to wii.Got it as a gift.Was been told not to do any updated as it's in V3.2u and it's mod.In the menu,there is Gamma,GeokOS...etc.I had burn games like mario kart,cooking mama 2 and boxing,been able to play with no problems unind the function gamma in the menu.been searching the net looking for way to fix the error 002 but don't know how.I had download a file :Gamma002fix_r2_dol_and_source".but don't know how to go about using this.Can any kind soul advise me please.Do i need to find out other things from my wii set in order to fix the error 002?Am in IOS249.

Do you have The Homebrew Channel?
If so create a folder named apps on the SD CARD and then inside the apps folder create a folder named Backup Launcher.
Rename the Gamma002fix_r2.dol file to boot.dol and place that into the Backup launcher folder you just created on the SD Card.
You can now boot the #002 fix backup Launcher from The Homebrew Channel Menu list.

when we run the game through the loader, does it run at 3x or 6x if we have a modchip?

The Backup Launcher reads at 3X no matter if you have a modchip or not.
For those that are getting the #002 error the newest cIOS36_rev8 is supposed to patch the error. So install the newest cIOS36_rev8 and your #002 errors should go away.

Try installing the cIOS36_rev8 and see if your normal backup launcher will bott it. If so then you don't need to use the #002 fix dol file.

i've been trying to connect my wii to my windows desktop but seems can't.i have installed the SD card and wanted to transfre file but when i conect to the desktop,there is no USB connection to the desktop.Any help?

how vintage your PC that it does not have USB port?? it should be at the rear. do you have windows 98?

ops.....sorry,let me repahse myself.i mean when i connect the USB from the Wii to desktop via USb connection,there is no detection of the new hardware found.Am i missing somethings?

PC to Wii with direct connect using USB cable?is this what are you trying to do? if yes..Will not work...
why don't you just buy a SD card reader to transfer the file??..

Also if i install rev_9 would it change anything on my wiigator channel backup launcher or the launcher within the homebrew channel?

rev9 will have all previous rev additions/fixes plus more.
As well it will not bother WiiGator.

larry, thanks for your quick response.......One more question. Where do i put this rev9 file? do i make a new folder and stick the file into that folder then put that folder into the apps folder? or do i open my backup launcher folder within my apps folder and remove the .dol file from there and replace it with the rev9.dol file (of course i will rename it to boot.dol)? And will this only work for my launcher within the homebrew or will it also work for the wiigator laucher channel?
Im new, so bear with me!

Create a folder named cIOS36_rev9 then place the dol file there (make sure you rename the dol file to boot.dol).
Then place the cIOS36_rev9 folder in the apps folder on the SD Card.
Now boot it using Homebrew Channel.

Great great answer!! Once i load it from the homebrew will it only work for the launcher within the homebrew channel or will it also work for wiigator channel?

Just run it 1 time and it will update to cIOS36_rev9 and you can use either or methods to boot the backups.

Either google IOS36-64-v1042.wad and download it. Then place it in the root of your SD Card and choose wad installation.
Or
If you have Internet access to the Wii use Network instillation.
