i'm having trouble getting a stock 47 into mode b. i've tried using jungle flasher. when i try it it say somethings about the ck3, which i dont have, so i ignore it, cus i cant achive what its asking without it. so it just sends the mode b and does nothing. i've tried using slax. i've been successful with a version of pslax 2.1 in combination with a command when it starts ups,but that is not working. im using a via card. please help.
p.s. with a blaster 360, does the mode b switch only apply to hacked firmware?

When Jungle Flasher is trying to set mode b, eject your Xbox drive via the xbox eject button. This worked for me with the same issue.
that didn't seem to work. when i start jungle flasher, with my 47 already on, nothing comes up in the port inquiry and it says in the user guide, that the mode-b will not work if it does not show up in the inquiry. my comp tends to freeze for a little when i turn on my xbox, so when i try to resend the inquiry, i usually have to quit out of jungle flasher cus it becomes unresponsive. so i would like to use jungle flasher, if any one can help me get it to show up in the inquiry section. if not a good mode-b disc would be appreciated because mine isn't working right. pls help

Sorry, I didn't actually see your reply till it was bumped. Have you tried selecting a different port in the top left hand box, i have to do this also.

Hitachi 47 currently flashed with iXtreme1.4
Win XP
Jungle Flasher 1.59b
While in windows, with the xbox powered on, and attempting to use jungle flasher to put the drive in mode b with no success, I closed jungle flasher, opened the dvd tray to my xbox, yanked the power cord out from the power brick end (so it shuts off with tray open), plugged the power cord back in and voila! Mode B just like that! Test by clicking the eject button, should take 2 clicks to open/close the drive now! After this I loaded Jungle Flasher and there was my drive!
