I was flashing my third or fourth BenQ but after I flashed this one it returned a "write verification failed."
I kinda forgot to put in the AV cables... they're in now but for some reason the drive will no longer eject and I can't read/write the key or put it in vendor mode.
Any suggestions..?

Go ahead and write the firmware again. BenQs has the bad-flash recovery so you can erase what was put on there and flash again.
If JF can't get it into vendor mode, use dos-flash 1.7.

Thank you. One more thing, if I put the xbox360 sata cable in and power the system, I get one flashing red light (bottom right light) and if I put the sata cable from my PC it boots up and spins/fades the green lights like it's booting normally...
hrmmmm...
Yeah JF keeps freezing with this box so I'm gonna try Dos Flash.
Thank you again

No problem. Here is a little tutorial I made for dos flash. You can find dos flash 1.7 on xbins i think or google it.
1. Make a jump drive bootable. I used iPrep and then erased all files off of the jump drive.
2. Took 2 files from dosflash 1.7 (dosflash.exe and dosflash.typ) and put them on the jump drive. Also put my custom firmware for my BenQ drive that has my DVD-key.
3. Boot to jumpdrive and type dosflash.exe
4. Will start to populate and you should see your BenQ drive [might say something like PLDS, VAD6038, MXXC(MX25L2005)]
5. It might prompt you to resend vendor info, choose yes and then power cycle drive within 1 second. Should return status 0x73. (if already 0x73 you can skip this step)
6. Choose the corresponding number to your SATA port (mine was 6)
7. Type W
8. Type the name of the custom firmware file (example: benq_cfw.bin)
9. Will Erase and then write the custom firmware
10. Enjoy

Ok so I'm assuming you used dos flash from the dos flash 16 folder? Because the other one is called dos flash 32.... I'm assuming 16 since dos is a 16 bit os...
One more question, how do I know which port my Sata card is?
The 360 is plugged into 0xE400 according to JF

Yes, you will need the 2 files from the dosflash16 folder. Dosflash32 is to be used in win xp.

Hello,
Copy and overwright the "ixDef" into your C: Programs/iPrep/Resources and overwrite it with the attachment and you will be good to go :)

Thank you I managed to get passed that. My problem now is that when I started iPrep through windows I formatted with my VIA RAID card selected which is what I used to flash other drives, but when I boot from iPrep it loads my PC's dvd drive which means it's pointing to my on board sata....

Shadaxx I am having the same problem as you.. I erased the firmware on my BenQ and now it wont eject with the CK3 Pro kit. I have tried so many things but its not recognising the drive in iprep.. Do you think its because I am running Vista 64BIT? has this got anything to do with it?
Which OS you running vista or xp? thanks mate .. please help out this is driving me crazy..

64bit does not play nice with flashing. But you should be able to do it in dos.

No problem. I'm glad I could help. So back-ups are playing good on the BenQ?

Hey guys.
I'm having a similar problem...
I bought a used 360 off ebay with a bad disk drive (boots, but won't read disks.) I saved the orig.bin file off it, but it already had ixtreme 1.5 on it - and I read somewhere that you can't just clone an ixtreme firmware to a new drive and have it work (and I'm wondering if this is my problem, or if that's b.s.)
I got a "new" benq drive (matching the one in the xbox) off ebay as well...
Which arrived with a broken warranty seal, but that's a different story.
I tried flashing the new drive, had a write failure in DOSFlash, and couldn't get it to eject or re-enter vendor mode.
Being ambitious, and seeing as how the warranty seal was broken anyway, I decided to pull the board out of the old broken drive and put it into the new working one.
I accomplished this - no problems.
But again, being ambitious (and technically stupid at this point) I tried to flash the new drive/old board with 1.51.
Now it won't eject and I get the bottom right red light (error 65).
I've been using JungleFlasher and have mixed success with it - sometimes it fails, sometimes it succeeds in the write and verification... (Only locked up with 0.50 - .51 hasn't locked up, just doesn't successfully flash and verify sometimes).
But the drive never responds to the eject button... which I'm guessing is the cause of my problems.
If the write and verification both succeed - is there something I'm missing? Including the outro - that doesn't seem to help either.
Even if the CD key is wrong (which I doubt), the xbox should eject the drive - assuming it is properly flashed - correct?
And ideas what's going on - or if/what I can do to fix this?
Thanks!

Just wanted to add...
The drive recognizes and flashes with the drive open, closed, or 1/2 open.
It's like it's stuck in vendor mode.
Dunno if that helps narrow it down or not >_<

Hey - I never got it working.
Best of luck...
I gave up and gave the whole mess away.
See if you can find someone nearby that has successfully flashed stuff before and see if you can do it on their hardware.
Other than that, I don't really have any suggestions.
Sorry. :(

Thing is i know its not the hardware as i have flashed about 6 360's with the setup i am using.
I was trying to update the firmware of a 360 i had previously flashed so it could play the latest games about a day before this i uprgraded the firmware of another 360 (my own one) no problem.
Basicaly i couldnt get it into vendor mode without starting the console with drive half open once half open i switched console on with jungle flasher up and pressed the vendor mode button a second or 2 after.
It went into vendor mode and i read the firmware fine, but when i pressed erase it failed to send....
