I have a back-up copy of Mario-Tennis in PAL format and Wii Music in NTSC format. My Wii is bought in the U.S.A so it makes it a NTSC format.

I already have "The Homebrew Channel" by using the twilight hack and the channel works fine. But now I want to play my back-up copy's of the game but it doesn't work.

So here is what I did to burn and to try to play the game:

1. I made the .iso file and used Wii Brick Blocker to prevent from my Wii to be bricked.

2. I then burned the Wii game onto a Memorex DVD+R.

3. I inserted the disk after the burn into the Wii drive and tried to play it using the original Wii disk loader.

4. It states that it can not recognize it. And I don't know what kind of application I should download from the "Homebrew Browser" in order to play the back-up copy. Please help!

Running 3.4u Firmware on Wii.

You said "original Wii disk loader" Meaning it only plays original games.

If you want to play backup games then you need to install the backup loader. Follow the guide You can skip the part about installing the homebrew channel since you already did that.

Thanks for the quick reply. I successfully got the Backup loader APP by Wiigator. Now I have a new question.

I have a Memorex DVD+R ||| 16X ||| 4.7GB ||| 120min |||

Will this type of DVD work on the Wii to play back-up games? I ran out of DVD-R

Thanks in advance

The brand matters more than + or -R. Memorex isnt a very reliable brand for wii backups. Weather or not it works will depend on your wii. Some wii's will read damn near any crappy media you can throw at them. Others are extremely picky.

Thanks again for the reply.

Well I also have a Sony DVD+R WITH AccuCORE
|||120min ||| 4.7GB ||| 1-16x |||

It also states "Excellent Performance and Reliability" :D

If the SONY isn't also reliable then what brand should I use?

Thanks again for your help penguin.
