I got the homebrew channel installed. Im running version 3.4. went to the channel and clicked on backup loader, then run game and it says the dvd read error 324 no cios. weird because i installed it. I clicked on the cios installer and it read 15/15 parts and restarted to the homebrew channel so i figured it installed yet it does work. any help?

If you are using Gamma Backup Launcher it should show the IOS249 at the bottom of the screen. If not then the Cios is not properly installed. You need to re-install the cIOS.

Other cause of error 324 is the media (blank DVD),it's either you did not properly burned the image or type of media used, I recommend the Verbatim -R.

To burn the ISO image use Nero or Imageburn(free).

Okay when I load the gamma launcher you are right it doesn't show ios249, it just shows ios36. But when I go to the coos installer and reinstall it still says ios36. Do I need a better installer or a different one? This one is not doing the job. It's cios installer v7 by wiigator.

You should be able to see this:

Are you able to install WAD's? Did you properly burn the game?
You have to find a working backup game to isolate the problem. Cios7 and gamma should be fine.

Did you install: Cios_fix.wad, IOS16, IOS downgrader?

ok so i download the wii fix tools and the IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad wasnt in there so i had to download it from somewhere else. I installed that one using the wad manager 1.3, then i clicked home to restart my wii just like it says. Then i went into the homebrew channel again to install the cios fix like the next step says and it says failed ticket and then some number. Im getting frustrated and this doesnt make sense. Should i start over from stratch with the whole zelda exploit again? and see if that works. by the way i was never able to install wads

used the Custom WAD Manager, if it fail used the WAD Manager 1.3.
if still fails then you start all over again (TP hack). Does not harm.

Using "The Homebrew Channel", open ?Custom Manager".
Using the same method as in "Step 3", install the "cIOS_Fix.wad".
Once installed, press the "Home" button, to restart you Wii.

Since you cannot install WAD you did not complete all the 3 files/task you need to do.
- ios16, CIOS-FIX.wad and downgrade IOS.

cIOS36_rev8 is out now.

It has a few fixes and also patches the #002 error that so many users have had issues with.

If you already installed cIOS36_rev7 just install rev8 over it.
