I have multiple dvds at home, and I only want one or two clips from each one of them and then combine on 1 or 2 dvds but with a new menu. Otherwise I have to fastforward to the end of one clip to watch another.

any advice for software or techniques?

I'd deeply appreciate the help.

If you want to use freeware, these apps work well.

DVD Shrinks 'Re-author' feature allows selection of multiple titles and selection of clips from those titles.
It then saves them in a new movie folder.

Vob2Mpg, can be used to convert the individual clips and save them as individual mpeg2 files.

These mpeg files are then loaded into DVD Flick and a new movie (with menu is created).
DVD Flick has a setting that allows compliant mpeg2 files to be authored to the DVD without encoding (no loss and much faster).

It gives errors if you import VOB files.

I tried the dvd flick & vob2mpg and the menu didn't allow me to create buttons that made it go to a certain clip.

Tried the same thing with dvdstyler but when I tried to burn it, there were errors.

I tried the trial version to xtodvd but ther'll be an image in the middle for the trial version.

any advice?

Maybe you should also consider trying DVD for dvdauthor.

If the menu is enabled, each Title is assigned a button.

ok, I successfully created a menu for free using gui for dvdauthor.

this is the problem I got:

One of the my clips is 6.1 & 6.2 vob. I can't figure out a way to either combine them into 1 vob or to include them both when I create the button for the clip.

I would deeply appreciate the help.
