NXE Update on New 2nd Wave Games Also

Gamers may begin to notice the automatic NXE update found only in the 3rd wave video partition of a new retail 360 game disc is no longer the case. After repairing an old 360 RROD console (which still had the old dashboard loaded), a retail game titled, "Shellshock 2 - released 2-24-09" was used to test if it was working properly. The console was not connected to the internet by any means, as it would have required the update once it was turned on.
As the console began to boot, an update window opened as normal when new game discs are first played. Instead of being a simple game update, it turned out to be the NXE update. Once the update process was completed, a window opened up welcoming us to the New XBox Experience. After backing up the retail disc, it proved to be a 2nd Wave game disc verified by the ABG still photo below.
Could there possibly be more to the 3rd wave video partition than we know of at the moment?

We also thought ABGX360 was not detecting ShellShock 2 as a 3rd wave game but the following proved that theory wrong.
We rip our own retail game discs using XBC and perform ISO stealth checks immediately afterwards. True 3rd wave games like MLB 2K9 and HAWX displayed a failed check because of the 3rd wave video partition (not to mention XBC has not been updated for 3rd wave games yet).
ShellShock 2 passed with flying colors because it is a genuine 2nd wave retail disc with the NXE update included (as seen below).

i really dont understand this,i have hawx and mlb patch with abg and they work perfectly even online,

The purpose of this new find is to point out that the NXE update is not exclusive to the 3rd wave video partition but can be found in new 2nd wave games as well.
So there may be more to the 3rd wave video partition.
All 3rd wave backups will work perfectly fine with 1.51 firmware off and online ... but what is the 3rd wave ... really??

hello all im kinda new to this whole updating ur firmware bc i never did it can anyone plzzzzzzzz help me. im using xbox creator 2.5 to do all my back ups of my original games and burning them using kreon samsung sh-d162d dvd-rom drive firmware 1.0 and have had success for a while but now with mlb2k9, hawk and now pop cap arcade hits vol. 2. its giving me issues how do i update my drive to the new 1.51 firmware for these games to wk

well seriously man, theres only like 10 threads on the first page alone that are discussing how to update the FW. just look at them, or use the search bar to find what you need.

well maybe a good place to start would be with the 435 post thread 4 thread titles down from this one. or the 'flashing samsung xbox drive' thread halfway down the page if thats the model of drive you have in your 360. or within the ultimate sticky i believe there are a couple of threads on how to flash the console. or if you have the liteon drive there are a couple of threads on the first page for those as well.
