I think as long as your game is stealthed properly and your firmware is up to date you should be ok. My cousin played my copy online for hours three days straight. I also have a benQ and that was way before 1.51 came out.

I've been playing my properly stealthed back-ups since August of 08 and always running the most current firmware.

i play both still. My nephew is hooked on part 4 as if it is the only game on 360. there is no need to ask if it is safe online. why would it be any different than any other game/backup?

I thought I read somewhere that more people were getting banned after playing cod4 online.
all my games are properly checked with abgx, andi dont play anything that is not properly stealthed and verified.

That may have been when it was first released and people were not stealthing correctly. I have been playing backup for months online as well as my nephew who plays cod4 pretty much everyday
