Hey Guys,
I read on some other forum that ixtreme 1.6 is going to be released by the end of this week.. Does anyone know if this true? I am in the process of flashing to 1.5.1 in the next few days just wondering if it will be worth the wait or is there still no exact date ..?

iXtreme 1.6 is supposed to add 0800 ripping. If that's all it adds, then you'll be fine with 1.51 if you just want to play games.

What is the 0800 ripping? I mean I know people are saying its for copying games but how do you mean? Please can someone explain what this is or direct me to somewhere where I can look into it a little more..
Also is the ixtreme 1.6 really coming out by the end of this week.. will it be worth a wait or just flash with the 1.5.1

anyone got any information on how this new firmware is put onto the liteons? i have 1.5 on my liteon already, had to use the ck3 probe etc etc, will i have to go through that process again?
any info welcomed :D

well, to go from virgin to ixtreme you need that probe, for the most part. but from 1.5 to 1.51 it is strictly sata. now if the additions in 1.6 don't take up too much space then I would bet the dummy.bin would remain in the firmware,therefore allowing for a strictly sata 1.6 upgrade

All that has been confirmed right now for 1.6 is 0800 support. So 1.6 is going to have stealth along with 0800 support, all in one firmware. I believe the vid partition wave support is going to be the same as 1.51.

sorry if this has all been discussed in other places but is 0800 support the thing that will let us rip straight from an xbox to pc? i already make my backups with a kreon so should i just put 1.5.1 on my xbox?

Yes, 0800 is for ripping. If you use a Kreon, I would just flash 1.51 to your drive.

so when i put 1.5.1 on, do i have to go through the same process as when i first put 1.5 on? ck3 probe to read the key etc or do i just load jungleflasher up etc? is there a 1.5 to 1.5.1 guide anywhere?
sorry if i'm being annoying now :D

Its allright. I take it you have a Lite-ON drive. You can just load the dummy.bin into JF and it will auto-load ix 1.51 for you. Save your CFW and then flash. If you don't have the dummy bin and your drive already has 1.5 on it, get the drive into half tray status and click dummy from ixtreme under the DVDkey tab in JF. That will pull the dummy bin from your drive that has 1.5 on it. If it is a virgin Lite-ON drive, you will need to probe the R707 with the key reader.

ok i still have all the .bin files saved from when i first flashed my liteon from new, is it all pretty straight forward then going from 1.5 to 1.5.1
