hi guys im new to this i downloaded the flash for the eurovox ex1000sl but when i click download it says no reciver found or waitin for responce of the reciver can anyone help me with this

Have you got a NULL modem cable ?

i have a cable that goes into the 7 pin port on the box and usb on the other end

Is it the EX1000SL ? It does not have a display on it at all just blue and red lights (blue on / red off )

Just work on through the guide, don't worry about not having dashes and DNLD coming up as that refers to the older boxes.

Ok, that will only give you a serial port, so you need a NULL MODEM CABLE as well.
Are you in Dublin ? You can pick one up easy enough, but you might need to be quick!!

You should be able to pick up a null modem cable in Peats or somewhere like that.

Have a load fo them lying around here somewhere, but if I was you I would get your mate to flash it (quickly!) so you get some use out of it at least!!
