Yes its finally came the end for our boxes, this N3 seems to be a problem and i dont think a answer is coming soon,so all you out there thinking of buying a cable box forget it for now,bit by bit all the stations will go.Theres no firmware or fix this is a fact the cable box is over.Id like to thank everone out there who have helped me over the time i used this site and too all the good advice that i recived.Theres many people who used this site ads there hobbie its sad taht they will no longer be able to do this.Of course this is only in Ireland but you uk folk watch out your be next.Dont seem many people have come on yet to ask weres there channels going, give it time and the masses will be panacing. We carnt complain i got about 3 years of many channels and i always new it would one day come to a end.Me ive got free to air satilite be fucked if i will ever pay for tv looking into getting a satlilte that gets the football on strange forgein channels at the moment, anyway a big thankyou to afterdawn and to everyone and let me leave with these words, they think its all over, well it is now. good luck.

Wow

1. You don't think an answer is coming. An answer may not be coming or it may be, most likely not.

2. The cable box is over. Maybe, but maybe not, if a fix is found for N3 the same boxes may be capable of being upgraded. (Could be a good time to pick up a bargain though I would not be recommending it!!)

3. This might be a good place to let us know how you get on with your satelite set up and the foreign channels, so don't dissappear, you could be invaluable!!

Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

I went the opposite way, from satellite to cable

I use to watch Premiership on an Arab package (£110) for 12months. This include at least 4 games kicking off at 3pm on Saturday and every Sunday game and mid week
Also, Champions league, French and Portuguese.

They lost the rights to Premiere (German) so I watched their stuff for free with an updated firmware - Formula 1 coverage was awesome, number of different channels dedicated to different view, shed load of movie channels but, alas they moved to Nagra3 in the last 6months or so.

So that package is now closed but, there is football and movies available and Im more than happy to help any of you guys who wanna get started

Satellite offers so much more than cable, stick with it and the rewards are phenomenal

You need to do a step by step write up what satilite and box are needed, there is going to be many of us that will be starting from scrath on the satilite stuff.I no you can get a dish and box and get channels from around the world but this too be at the moment is all new.
What size satilite do i need?
Which direction should it point?
what box do i need?
Too be honest there too many questions to ask,we need some one who nos this field to do a step by step guide too get these channels for free,i no you carnt get sky sports etc i mean a prem game being shown in albania you no what i mean.Im going to ring around check other forums and find out how this is all done,i belive theres not much cost in this and its all free, why we wait for someone to sort the n3 this will be something to do and learn,so any satilite experts out there gona share this info with us all.

Hi A good starting point is a Tectnomate 5400ci+ you will need min.80cm dish and a motor the receiver can be flashed like a cable box and will pick up a good amount of channels it also has a cam and card slot for when you get into it big time. Check out satdownloads or satfiles two good sites to help you along the way.

Easy enough to set up but you do realise that most of the decent Sat providers are also migrating to Nagra 3 also.

If you know anything about CS, you should also know its not a good idea to post here about it, as with a lot of other forums. I like this one keeping it open would also be nice.

I had a feeling :) At least it gives a bit longer and fair play to the coder, wonder who that was :)

But at least with N2 patched gives a bit more time in between migration. How are the "pron" channels looking lol :) I only miss LFC TV :)

Commercialism and politics may be a bigger problem :(
