I have all the .Hack series games wich is composed by 4 games, Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine. The first two games are pal coded(infection and mutation) and the other two are ntfs coded. I just finished mutation and wanted to transfer my saved file from mutation-pal to outbreak-ntfs but when I begin this game there's no saved data from mutation.
I think this happens cuz they are pal and ntfs coded so each one has different save files... My question is that if there's a way to convert pal save files in ntfs save files.
Thanks and sorry for being a nub ^^

Well... if you can get your PS2 memory card onto your PC (using an Action Replay or some such thing...) and edit it, then you can probably use PS2 Save Builder to change its region and product code.
From PS2 Save Tools:
Quote: Q: How do I change the country region/ID of a save?
A: Open the save up in PS2 Save Builder and change the Root/ID section accordingly to the new ID. Check any files in the save for the old ID and change their names as needed (click on a name then a few seconds later click on it again to edit the name). Save in your chosen format.

Well, I know of a way to connect a PSONE memory card, but not a PS2 memory card. For the PSOne card, all you need is a PS3 memory card adapter.
For the PS2, though, I'm sure you can use any cheat device (Action Replay, Gameshark, etc.) that has the hardware you need. For instance, Action Replay Max has included a memory card adapter to plug into your PC (along with software that has the driver info, most likely).
So yeah, using a cheat device is currently the only way to get PS2 saves from your PS2 to your PC and back.
At least the only way I know of. I'm more helpful if you ask about PS3 stuff; as far as the PS2 goes, I'm just as clueless as you.

Well... there is a way! use codebreaker v9 and transfer your save files from your memory card into your usb pendrive, now into your pc! ( i hope i did not violate another one of THOSE forum rules.)
I just said (codebreaker v9) and thats the truth! im using that...

Isn't that almost exactly the same thing as an Action Replay? I mean... they more or less do the same thing. But since someone else has responded, I guess that means that Emotion, you WILL have to buy some sort of cheat device to get your saves onto your computer.
It's a bummer, I know, but it beats having to buy the same games for a different region.
...or is it... you could check to see how much the PAL versions of .hack/Outbreak + Quarantine cost nowadays (can't be much), and compare that to the cost of a cheat device (which also can't be much), see which one beats out the other, and choose that one.

Well if your playing PAL and NTSC on your PS2, I am wondering what method you use.
You can use uLe to copy gamesaves from your PS2 to USB device.
Then follow this guide to change the region of the gamesave and then transfer back.
