My dvd player won't read my original DVD anymore but I made a copy of it. I wanted to put the files back on my backup harddrive but I'm not sure this is the right way to do this.

I don't see the Audio_TS folder when I explore the DVD. I looked at some other ones and don't see it on them either.

Can I copy the Video_TS folder to my harddrive and that's it?

Then I can use ImgBurn to burn a copy? I don't want to just make a copy of the DVD backup.

Thanks so much.

If your goal is to produce another copy of a backup, simply use Imgburn.

Mode > Read > Mode > Write.

It's that simple.

the only reason for an audio_ts folder (which is normally empty anyway) is some old dvd players look for it.

You can copy your video_ts folder to the hdd.. and if you want make an empty audio_ts folder.. then burn the pair to a dvd as a data disk (amazing but true) .. that's a little secret from foss world XD

I don't think anything Nero produced ever has one.

Lately, I've made all my back-ups with just the video_ts files. Since all the info is contained there, I don't see a reason to keep the audio_ts folder.

Neither does RipIt4Me or AnyDVD.

Nero6 always made one...

I gave the reason for it earlier.. older standalone dvd players sometimes look for it and crash (unknown disk -E44) if it isn't there.
