Recently, my xbox 360 fan stopped working. At first, it would make a little tiny beep that you could barely hear and the fan blade would start to move but stopped, as if it didnt have enough power to move the fans. So I tried using a fan from a pc to see if that would run, but it wont. The connector for my orignal 360 fan broke off. Is there a way to get the pc fan running on the 360? its a 12v 3 pin 80mm fan that came with my suntech casing. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
I would not suggest putting a computer fan in i repaired an xbox last night that had rrod and someone had put a computer fan in it the dower was run off the dvd and the fan was not blowing anywhere actually it causing more heat after fixing rrod the fan was so unstable when i put the case together the blades on the fan broke so just from this experiance i would not suggest it
i agree, unless you really know how physics work i would reccomend against the computer fan. BTW, i beleive the dvd is 6v, if you want full speed, youre gonna need 12v. Either way, like i said from the get go, just save up and order one for $20 bux on ebay, search for "Talismoon Xbox 360" it should be 18-22 dollars.
