PS3MS Scheduled Task/Dedicated User/Media Library help

OK I have the PS3 media server installed on the family PC, as it contains all the media files. The server works, but I dont want it running 24/7 when I only use it after 9pm.

So I looked how to do this and setting a Scheduled Task is suggested. Set the task but then it asks for a password, being the family PC it has no password so I left it blank. But doing this gives an error message and you cannot set the task.

So I looked up more and found the only way to do this was to create a second user account and hide it from the welcome screen as to automatically load the main account, which is what I wanted.

So on the main account I set the scheduled task to run using the new dedicated user I have created, and the task works.

All seems good, but now which user do I scan the media library on? Can I use the main account or because I'm running the server under the other account does the media library have to be scanned on that account?

If anyone knows then please post the answer, Thanks

Yikes, I;ve decided to see what happened is I create the library in the main account. Now with TVersity this took just over 2 hours and you could still use the PS3.

But with the PS3 media server, I started at midnight and come 3:30 still not even half done! So thought I;d leave it on overnight. It's now almost midday and it's still not finished!!!!

I cannot believe creating the media library with the PS3MS is taking 6 times longer as compared wth TVersity!

Now if the library doesnt work this means another 12 hours scanning on the deidcated account! :(

ANyone else finding the scannign takes too long?
