i have a samsung ms28 in my xbox now. i want to spoof a benq in there. i got it working so that my benq would read discs as "play dvd" but now its just saying "open tray" the steps im using is

1, dump samsung firmware
2, dump benq firmware
3, open samsung firmware with firmware toolbox
4, copy key
5' open benq firmware click spoof as pick my samsung drive and number
then copy the samsung key into the benq drive key area
6, using iprep make a bootable drive copy the original benq drive firmware into the folder i need. then put the hacked spoof firmware in. run Fben it all passes.
7, start up xbox (as i said it use to read backedup games as play dvd, now it just says open tray.)

so thats what im doing. ive never spoofed a drive before.from what ive been reading i seem to be doing it right.

also i need to put the ixtreme 1.51 onto the benq drive after i spoof. any help would be great

where did u get the Benq? sounds like it has a weak laser. If your sure you followed the steps properly then try doing a pot calibration. Also Jungleflasher can do all of this and doesn't require using dos.

it was in my old xbox that rrod, i know it works. its just being stupid right now lol.

i dont know how to spoof with jungle flash and my benq drive is never able to be read.. i heard with vista 64 i cant use it unless my benq is 1.51 or something...

ive never spoofed before as i said and all the guides for spoofing with jungleflash seem a bit confusing to me.

Like Belenos said, do this in Jungle Flasher.
I just did what you are trying to do yesterday. It took not even 10 minutes to complete. This is exactly what I did:
-Hooked up samsung with tray half open(previously flashed)
-Opened JF
-Clicked marketflash tab
-clicked Intro
-powerd off drive, clicked yes, powered on drive
-drive in vendor mode
-clicked Read
-saved ofw to file
-auto load ix1.51 for source drive=NO
-shutdown JF
-connect Benq and open JF
-clicked intro, etc. then READ
-saved ofw to source, auto load ix1.51=YES
-opened sammy's OFW in source
-JF asked auto spoof source to target? =YES
-clicked write
-write successfull!!!

Thats' it. Worked flawlessly. Goodluck

actually unless you need the key for the xbox the new drive came from you do not need to read it.
also for the sammy if you do the intro on/off method you do not need tray half open.

start with sammy hooked up and powered on
start jungleflasher
mtkflash tab
If drive is stock push Sammy Unlock if not:
Intro/Device ID
turn drive off
Click yes
turn drive on
either method will put it in vendor mode
from here click read and save as Sammy-ofw
I then close jungleflasher
hook up Benq
reopen Jungleflasher and go to Mtkflash tab
then it's either Benq unlock for stock or
Intro on/off for previously flashed
go to firmware tool tab load sammy-ofw for source
click no
then for target load ix151-benq.bin
click spoof source to target
then verify that keys both match
and check under target key and make sure it says spoofed as tsst corp
go back to mtkflash tab
click write.

If it says write verified you are done. if not then try writing again.
