Sv firmware update prob!!

i have the box super and am trying to update the firmware threw my laptop have 8.02 but its scrambled. tryin to get 8.04. have downloaded it and connected to my box to laptop threw a null modem and usb adapter but its just stuck on o%

any help pls!!!

Is the box saying data is being updated... [0%] or the laptop saying 0% flash update failed?

its the laptop.. box is normal on standby
did you go to device manager on your laptop and select the correct com port? control panel > system > hardware tab > device manager, and go to ports, right click on the correct one and choose properties. you should see advanced settings or something where you should change the port between 1 - 4 preferably 1 - 2 and select that in the gtrom loader.
