Hi I just wanted to get some knowledge about something. Iīve read this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/729303 .
Itīs about how to burn a Xbox 360 game with ImgBurn. The guide is pretty good but the thing is when playing Resident Evil 5 and GRID using this guide to burn I sometimes receive the message/error on the Xbox 360 that the game is dirty, unreadable and so on. But Iīve heard that you can use Clone CD to. How big difference is there, is there any special guide for Clone CD, maybe itīs because of the software that these errors appear.

I would bet my left n*t it's not the software. Dirty Disc is usually the media or laser condition, in my experience. ALmost always HARDWARE problem. What speed are you burning at? Is your D/L burner a USB device? If so do not plug it into a front panel port, only mobo port. What type of discs and what type of xbox drive do you have. The benq's and liteons read just about anything. A brand new sammy will read lots of discs but ages fast and prefers the Verbatims. The hitachi's in good shape will read verbs and memorex but also age fast. just my experiences/opinions.

It probably isnīt the dvd drive, and the Verbatim DVD R+ DL cdīs are new, can it be because of the dvd burner maybe ? Maybe itīs also the scrath on the dvd, donīt really know, just thinking out loud here.

what brand/model of drive are you using for the burning? speed being burnt out? drive in your 360?

I have a Lite-On DVD. I use Verbatim 8x DL DVDīs, and burn at a speed of 2.4x. Can it depend on the DVD burner I wonder.

Does the 360 play originals ok then it ain't that
DVD writer- can it burn any data & be seen by the comp then that cuts out the writer
software-nup
360 iso-did you make it or download it,figured as much it's downloaded *winks*

yes it can depend on the dvd burner... is it a USB D/L BURNER????????????????? if so do not plug it into a front panel, only to a motherboard port.

It run a original game without any problem from what Iīve noticed. Iīm gonna go ahead and gues itīs the software or the dvd burner. So Iīm gonna try to burn with Clone CD with speed 2x-2.4x.

When's the last time you updated your burner's firmware? That could affect the quality of the burns.
Also, is there any reason why you're burning so slow? I use Verbatim 8X DL media too (MKM-003-000) and 2.4X isn't even a supported speed for that media. 4X, 6X and 8X are the supported speeds and in my tests (albeit using a different burner) 8X gave the fewest errors and best results.

.
Using these programs in this order worked for me but there's no sound?

Awe how sad, no-ones helped you. But why are you using ss merger? How did you get the game? Download, ripped via kreon drive, 0800 mode, winxripper method? What media is it burnt on, at what speed? Need a lot more information to help out. But hey your noob so we should expect the lack if information I suppose.

Yes downloaded game and put iso file through abgx360 GUI to check it, then once everything comes back ok i put the file into xbox360 ss merger 1.5o to merge the ss file with the iso file, then once finished i put the new merged file into clonecd and burnt to a 8.5 dvd+r double layer disk but when i played the game there's no sound?
everything else is fine just the sound problem?
i think there's something that might be in the settings that im not seeing as i am a noob lol
any ideas?
and yes i am a noob but i am teaching myself at the mo because i have no patiance for waiting lol
and soz for my comment to u earlier but it seemed like u were attacking me!

You don't need to run it through ss merger. Almost every game out now adays is stealth to begin with. So that could be part of the problem but idk. Is it just that game you don't have sound on or others as well.

The biggest reason why I mostly burn at the speed around 2x - 2.4x is because thatīs what Iīve been hearing and read that been recommended. Itīs said that itīs a good speed to burn in. Or ?

You can burn at whatever speed you want. Just make sure that you have a good drive to being with.

also did you say the dvd is scratched? well then fix the friggin scratch or throw the disc away, u donkey.
