I am running version 3.3u and i have homebrew and it works great for most applications but Im trying to run wadmanager and it will not recognize it being on my sd card.
I have the .dol file in a folder inside the apps folder and On the root I have the folder named "wads"
When I open homebrew everything shows up except the wad manager.
Any Ideas???

Make sure it is named boot.dol (not example: wadmanger.dol).
So it would be...
SD:apps/wadmanger/boot.dol

ok thanks, but the file is boot.dol, so that is not the problem. So what about installing ios16, could you be more specific or link me to a page that explains.
Everything i have looked at just says to make a wad folder and to install the wadmanager, I have not seen anything about iso16, I googled it and found a little info but not much
Thanks

ios16 has nothing to do with booting dol files via Homebrew Channel.
It is for installing WAD/cIOS files after you have updated to 2.3 firmware.
Did you format the SD card to fat16 (default windows setting)?
Also the folder on the root should be wad not wads.

ok, so you are saying for my situation I do not need iso16? Yes my sd card is in the right format and other applications can be read, it just dont read the wad manager. Ive downloaded from two different locations as well to make sure I did not have a bad file, Im not sure what the problem is.

Alright delete the wadmanger folder you have on the SD card.
Download this file HERE and extract it. Drag the wadmanger folder into the apps folder. Make sure you have created a wad folder in the root directory (NOT WADS).

Ok thanks, it recognized it right off, but the description is in spanish and I was afraid to go ahead and load it. Is the rest of the installation in spanish? Im just being cautious, let me know if it is ok to proceed.
Thanks

I have no idea why it is spanish. It isnt spanish for me.
UPDATE: I guess the discription is in spanich. But the aplication itself is English. Never noticed the spamish discription.

Also the version I had before was 1.3, I could tell some of the files were different, maybe there was some other software I was not up to date on to use that version. i noticed what you linked me to was version 1.1

OK give me a sec and I will upload the 1.3 version. This was a backup of my SD card and I guess it was an older backup.

Actually I think it is 1.3 but I just replaced the wadmanger 1.1.dol file with the wadmanger 1.3.dol file and never updated the discription meta file.
So run it and see if the banner says it is 1.3 version.

Yes you are correct, i went ahead and ran it and it worked fine. The description shown in homebrew was in Spanish, but when I hit load everthing was in english from there on. Thanks a lot. I notice the .dol file i was tryingto use before was not named "boot" I dont know if this matters, but that may have been my problem from the start.

Yes it matters and if you had read my previous post better you would have seen I said to name it boot.dol (not example: wadmanger.dol).
You even replied and said it was boot.dol

I might should start a new thread for this, but I thought I would ask.
I would like to create a channel for my nes and snes emulators that I currently run from my sd card from the homebrew channel. Is this possible and what would I need to do this? If so would I still have to have my roms on the sd card or could I load them to the harddrive and be completely sd card free? Either way a channel for each emulator would be nice.
THanks
